Our events incorporate a unique blend of talks and performance pieces to represent the local flavor of the Palouse area. This year’s performers are sure to thrill you with their pieces. Without much ado, here they are!
Wagner Pástor, tenor, is a first-year student from Quito, Ecuador pursuing an M.M. in Vocal Performance at the University of Idaho. Recently, Wagner performed the role of Alfred (Die Fledermaus) and Rinuccio (Gianni Schicchi). At the U of I, he has performed works in concert by Verdi, Mozart, and Massenet. Upcoming roles include Nemorino (L’elixir d’amore) and Don José (Carmen). He is also a versatile musician and loves playing piano and guitar.
Aaron Torres is a classical guitarist originally from the Seattle, WA area. He has studied with a variety of well-esteemed guitar professors including Michael Partington, David Feingold and Aidrien Wilkens. His current studies are at the University of Idaho under the tutelage of Professor James Reid. Mr. Torres’s playing and repertoire choice is greatly influenced by his time spent living and traveling throughout Spain and Europe. Some of his most performed guitar works are written by Heitor Villa-Lobos, Isaac Albéniz, Domenico Scarlatti, The Beatles and many others.”
Saban “Rocky” Ursua
Saban “Rocky” Ursua is a 3rd year dance major at the University of Idaho who has been pursuing dance for 2 years of his college career. Even though he has not been dancing for very long he plans to pursue dance as a career.
